Steve Valentine
Steve Valentine grew up with musical instruments and musicians all around.
Mother Doris, acclaimed local organist with the San Diego Padres Baseball
Club, Uncle Gary Lefebvre, world renowned Jazz Saxophonist and older brother
Jack Valentine, notorious Rock and Roll drummer of Whitehorse, kept a
constant schedule of rehearsals within constant ear shot down the hall
growing up. Steve dabbled with all instruments perhaps with the hopes of
someday joining the fun. Steve practiced for years and eventually set up
Brother Jack’s and Whitehorse guitarist Mick Mars’ equipment when the band
was in California.
“Steve was the guy who operated my upside down drum platform at the San
Diego Sports Arena and other gigs in LA with Mick Mars of Mottley Crue back
in the 70’s,” Jack relates. “I never realized he would be the perfect guy
to join my band until the Flying Circus just recently re-formed and there he
was, ready, willing and very able.”
Steve plays everything, guitars, keyboards, drums and woodwinds.
